IBM New latest placement papers questions with answers technial hr interview experiences,IBM previous years solved question papers 2014-2015 batch
Hi, this is Sudip Bhakta from Jadavpur University. IBM came to our campus to recruit UG and PG students on 7th and 8th October 2013.
There were 3 rounds.
1. Online Aptitude test.
2. Online Communication test.
3. Interview round.
1. Online aptitude test consists of 2 sections.
First part includes 18 ‘Series Completion’ test. You can see only one question at a time and you will be allowed 2.25 minutes to answer each question. There is no scope to BACK, so try to answer each question within the time limit. As there is no NEGATIVE MARKS so you can click the most probable option first then go for actual calculation, that is upto you. The series consist decimal points terms and almost each series was combination of 2 or more series. So practice well.
After first section is completed instruction page for second section comes on screen. This section consists 18 quantitative questions. Standard Calculator is allowed for this section. Rules are same for this section also. Some sample questions are below:
A computer shop consists 3 brand’s laptop .Laptop of brand A is sold 3/16, B is sold 1/16 and c is sold ¾ then what fraction is sold by the shop in all.
Printer A prints 8192 character per min and printer B prints 13862 character per min four character are equal to one word. Printer A starts at 7:15 am while Printer B starts at 7:29 am then at what time both will have same no of words printed
In a library there are 5 cluster and each is having 44 books (module). In first weak 75 books are used, in second 95, in third 95 and in fourth 160 books are used. Then tell how much fraction of books are used.
2. After the round 1 result was declared. Only the qualified candidates will sit for ‘Online communication test’. This is an english test. Questions came on Grammatical error, business letters, official documents, active-passive voice etc. This was a 22 minutes test. They did not declare the result on the same day. Result was declared on the next day after PPT presentation. Sample questions are below:
In for document signature should be done using blue ink as to differentitate original and photocopy. TRUE or FALSE.

3. Those candidates who qualified the 2nd round was called for interview round.
This was a pure HR round. But guys keep yourself prepared for technical questions also as some of students were asked technical questions also. I was asked:
i) Introduce yourself.
For this question try to mention some of your qualities which are appropriate for the post.
ii) Why IBM?
For this question try to give some statistical figures.
iii) Have you faced any challenge in your life, how did you overcome?
iv) Are you comfortable to work in a team?
v) Can you lead a team?
vi) Explain your final year project.
vii) Have you any problem to relocate?
Obvious answer was NO…
Keep yourself confident in front of interviewer and this reflects from your body language, your voice, your expressions.
After interview we sat for a form fill up session in xls sheet. On the same day 6:00pm result was declared and my name was there 🙂
