I’m S.Lavanya from Kongu Engg College,Erode,TN. I’m very glad that I got placed in CSC through TAMILNADU ANNA UNIVERSITY STATE LEVEL PLACEMENT PROGRAM conducted in our college on June 10 & 11.
I’m really grateful to ANNA UNIVERSITY here. Many students got benefited thro this program by getting placements in the world’s top IT companies. CSC is on the 256th place in world’s Fortune 500 companies.
Anna Univ is going to conduct the same program for colleges in Chennai zone on June 17 & 18.Definitely this article would be useful for all the students.
Nearly 1400 students attended.230 cleared Written.100 cleared Communication round.Finally they selected 66 after interviews.
I would like to share some of my experiences about the selection process.
The CSC selection process consisted of 4 rounds
1.Written test
a.Aptitude Test
b.Techical Test
2.Communication Round
3.Technical Interview
4.HR Interview
WRITTEN TEST:
Technical: 75 Q,40 mins
Here, we are so lucky that we got the same previous technical questions(even question order was not changed),it is already available in Freshersworld, please go through them and find the correct answers in google.
For Technical this is enough.Non -IT students hv to concenterate more,bcoz most of the q/s are from CSE/IT subjects.
Aptitude:40 Q,40 mins
Aptitude was bit easy,but need to manage time well.For this go through R.S. Agarwall.
Some of the q/s which i remember are
3*3 sudoku 4 Q-sum of the rows ,columns,diagonals=15,few elements were given,need to find remaining elements(very easy,do this first)
4 Q on functions (very easy)
2 Q on percentages(very easy)
2 Q on Venn diagrams
1 Q on Permutation ,combination
1 Q on geometry
3 or 4 Q on analogy(tough)
2 or 3 Q on statement – assertion test(bit confusing)
DONT FORGET TO GO THRO THE TECHNICAL Q/S posted by B.Antony Shaji of Avanti Engg College IN FRESHERSWORLD….MOST OF THE TIMES THE SAME Q/S WERE ASKED….
Here major elimination takes place.so prepare well.
COMMUNICATION ROUND:
CSC people mainly look on our communication skills and confidence level. Here a topic ll be given and each hv to speak for 2 mins in the order they call the names.(no time ll be given for preparation)
In a group of 10,they selected only 2,3 or utmost 4.so be confident while speaking.Some of the topics are
1.we all make mistakes
2.The most unforgettable Dream
3.External outfit
4.Why CSC?
5.The first day of my college
6.My seniors in college
Here also elimination is there….so BE CONFIDENT WHILE SPEAKING…
TECHNICAL INTERVIEW:
Once u clear the written and Communication, u r almost safe.In technical only a few eliminations were there.
They asked basic q/s from DBMS(prepare well,queries were also asked),C,C++(concepts & basic pgms),OS,Networks.For Non-IT students few q/s from DBMS,C,C++ and their area of interest.
Be bold,even if u don’t know, tell them that u dont know,dont try to give relative ans..
once u clear the technical, u r almost selected…
HR INTERVIEW:
HR is only for a formality.They asked Q/s like
1.Tell abt urself
2.ur family
3.short term & longterm goals
4.Why CSC
5.some q/s were asked from ppt also.
Friends,Dont forget to go through the recent Technical Q/s in Fresheersworld…Most of the times same q/s were given.
