1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

We do NOT store your credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs. All payments are processed by Razorpay under their own security standards (PCI-DSS compliant).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service: Display quizzes, track scores, maintain leaderboards, and deliver personalized recommendations.
• Analytics: Generate your performance reports, and identify weak topics.
• Communication: Send OTPs, password resets, subscription confirmations, and important updates.
• Improvement: Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve quiz quality and platform features.
• Security: Detect fraud, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Information Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:

• Leaderboards: Your display name, level, and XP are shown publicly on leaderboards.
• Payment processing: Transaction data is shared with Razorpay to process payments.
• Legal compliance: If required by law, court order, or government regulation.
• Analytics providers: Anonymized, aggregate data may be shared with analytics services to improve the platform.

4. Cookies and Tracking

You choose which optional cookies we use through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page).

• Essential (always on): qmsid keeps you logged in and protects forms (deleted when you close the browser or log out); qm_consent remembers your cookie choice (1 year); qm_ref remembers a friend's referral code (30 days, only if you arrived through a referral link). Your browser's local storage also keeps your theme (light/dark), recent searches and the progress of a quiz you have started — nothing there leaves your device.
• Analytics (optional): a small page-view counter that runs on our own server (it records the page, device type, country derived from your IP address and the referring site — no cookie is set) and Google Analytics 4 when it is switched on. Choosing “Reject” turns both off.
• Advertising (optional): we show ads through Google AdSense to visitors without a Pro plan. If you do not allow advertising cookies, only non-personalised ads (based on the page, not on you) are shown. Pro members see no ads.
• Payments: when you open the payment window, Razorpay may set its own cookies to process the payment securely.
• You can also clear cookies from your browser settings, but this will log you out.

5. Data Security

• Passwords are hashed using WordPress's built-in password hashing (bcrypt/phpass).
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS/SSL encryption).
• Access to user data is restricted to authorized administrators only.
• We conduct regular backups and use industry-standard hosting security measures.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
• Quiz attempt history is retained for performance tracking and analytics.
• If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data (quiz statistics) may be retained.
• Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax regulations.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all personal data we hold about you (available in your Profile page).
• Correction: Update your profile information at any time.
• Deletion: Delete your account yourself at any time from Your data & privacy. Your profile, quiz history, saved questions, streaks, coins and practice sheets are removed. Payment records are kept for the period the law requires, without your name or email.
• Data export: Download a copy of your data (JSON) from the same page.
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

• Google AdSense & Google Analytics — advertising and usage statistics, only as allowed by your cookie choice (how Google uses data)
• Razorpay — Payment processing (Razorpay Privacy Policy)
• Google Sign-In — Social login (Google Privacy Policy)
• MSG91 / Fast2SMS — OTP delivery for phone verification

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
